Link had an odd mixture of feelings as Epona’s front left leg collapsed while in gallop. First, there was shock, the idea that she or Epona could so badly forget a divot in the road. Second, anger: she caught sight at the arrow shaft coming out of Epona’s knee, and was immediately enraged at who would dare cripple a horse like that. Third: shame, for she had allowed herself to lead Epona into a trap, that she had been too focused on her own thoughts to notice.
